Hosford Middle School

  • emphasizes a strong and rigorous core academic program;

Literacy

Hosford utilizes a 2 period multi-age, skill-leveled literacy block to address reading, writing, speaking, and listening instruction. Students participate in "Step Up to Writing" activities to increase reading and writing skills. Learn how students are placed by clicking here.

Math

Hosford students receive grade level math instruction through the "Connected Math Project". Classes in advanced math, algebra and geometry are available for students at those skill levels and students may earn advanced high school placement. Cleveland High School offers Hosford students Algebra 3-4.

Science

Hosford's multi-age science classes are project and lab-oriented. Hands-on activities help promote students' understanding of the world around them.
